Mackenzie hopeful on Broadmeadow, production costs

BHP CEO Andrew Mackenzie has defended the company’s goal of getting its Queensland’s coal production costs down to US$54 per tonne and believes the geotechnical problems being faced at its Broadmeadow longwall mine are almost over.
