MINCOR Resources has finished site mobilisation and turned to pre-strip waste mining at its Widgiemooltha gold project in Western Australia’s Goldfields.

It remains on track to deliver first ore in July.

Hampton Mining and Civil Services has wound-up pre-production works and mobilised the mining fleet, as well as finishing topsoil removal and stockpiling works for the Flinders Main waste dump and run-of-mine pad.

Mincor will start ore mining once Widgiemooltha's ore dig plans, which are based on the recent grade control drilling campaign, are finalised.

Mincor managing director Peter Muccilli said the first blast at the Flinders Main pit marked a key step towards the start of gold production at the project.
