ENVIRONNMENT Victoria is pushing all political parties in the lead up to the state election on November 24 to deliver the Victorian Renewable Energy Target and act to cut greenhouse pollution by phasing out coal-fired power.

The future of coal fired power will be an issue in the upcoming Victorian election.

Environment Victoria CEO Mark Wakeham said Victoria could be a national leader for renewable energy and cutting greenhouse pollution.
 
"Between now and the state election, we'll be working with Victorians across the state to make sure they're using their voices and their votes to help secure Victoria's clean energy future and protect our environment," he said.
