Hydraulic roof support facility for the Hunter

A PARTNERSHIP between JK Hydraulics and Androck Engineering has constructed a purpose-built facility in the New South Wales Hunter Valley to service the local coalfields.

JK Hydraulics said the facility included testing and assembly equipment for longwall roof supports.

The company has been a non-OEM provider of service parts for automated longwall roof supports in the US for nearly 20 years.

It provides both new and repaired hydraulic components, hydraulic assemblies and control cables for longwall automation systems worldwide.

In 2012, JK Hydraulics partnered with Androck Engineering to provide these services to the Australia market.

In a statement, the company said continuous training and support at the Hunter facility were provided directly from JK Hydraulics, ensuring the same high quality standards provided in the US were achieved in the Australian facility.

“Extensive independent studies and testing of JK Hydraulic products have been completed and identify them as meeting or exceeding the high standards of the OEMs,” it said.

“In addition to new parts manufactured by JK Hydraulics in the USA, Androck can now provide complete repair service for automated longwall roof support hydraulic components.

“Focus on availability, quality and price are sure to make this new partnership an essential cost-effective solution for the Australian market place.”
