NIOSH, university offering free safety webinar

THE National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health and the University of Iowa’s Heartland Center for Occupational Safety and Health are inviting the mining community to lunch while they learn during a free webinar on respiratory protection later this month.

Entitled “Respiratory Protection: How to Best Protect from Workplace Exposures”, the event will be held August 27 beginning at 11.30am and is expected to take about 45 minutes.

The event is open to all interested individuals and there is no limit on how many can register.

The objectives of this webinar include sharing recent clinical events and related research findings on breaches in respiratory protective compliance as well as suggested strategies to reinforce healthcare workers’ proper use of respiratory protection.

The National Personal Protective Technology Laboratory and NIOSH’s healthcare research findings will also be discussed, along with the identification of suggested strategies to reinforce healthcare workers’ proper use of respiratory protection.
