September 11 was at the front of everyone's minds as the Bluefield Coal Show opened in West Virginia.

Titan's J-Loader was an early hit at the Bluefield outside booths.

GE Fairchild's Bluefield exhibit was large and prominent, especially one centerpiece: the LHD-5-LB.

There was much to see at Joy Global's large display, and the visuals caught everyone's attention.

Another focus of the Joy exhibit space was equipment, especially continuous miners with on-board proximity.

Phillips stole the show in stark white with its continuous miner display.
