Eastcoal down

As the Toronto Stock Exchange closed on a 19-month high, Eastcoal slid 21.4% to C6c, on 6.27 million shares. The Vancouver-based company announced it would shed about 400 jobs at its two mines in Ukraine, about a third of its staff there.
