Another person is missing and five people were injured following the blast in Sangatta, East Kalimantan.

National Police spokesperson senior commissioner Agus Rianto said the Sahoya 3 barge exploded soon after 3200 tonnes of fuel had been unloaded on Monday evening, according to the Jakarta Post.

"The flames from the barge spread to an Arya Candara tug boat that was beside it. In seconds, the tug boat exploded," Agus said.

Agus said police were coordinating with PT KPC to determine the cause of the multiple explosions.
