The intelligent process control centre (IPCC) will deliver access to real-time data via a web-based system. The system will also enable access to historical storage of all diagnostic information that will be gathered using advanced algorithms to identify problem areas. It will generate a detailed database for maintenance purposes. When a process error occurs automatic email notification is generated.
i.Power said the iPCC offers unparalleled flexibility and can operate as a standalone unit or be integrated into pre-existing control and information architecture. It can interface locally to a variety of communications bus types for motor management and control within the MCC.
The system offers the ability to manipulate detailed process data on-line via a web browser. Not intended to replace a SCADA system, the iPCC has been developed to utilise web-based systems such as i.Power’s proprietary Link-2 system to optimise plant reporting.
The system can be tailored to meet the needs of a small manufacturing facility through to a large scale processing plant.
