The workshop will focus on how to interpret BLM land records, how to locate and file a mining claim or site, what is required to maintain a claim or site, as well as the applicable fees.

The workshop will also cover BLM’s definitions of activity levels and the associated state and federal requirements.

Time will also be provided to answer any questions regarding mining claim/site filings.

The federal agency manages more than 245 million acres of public land, and administers 700 million acres of sub-surface mineral estate throughout the nation.

The workshop will be held from 1 pm to 4:30 pm on July 31 at the BLM Colorado State Office.
