Canadian coal stocks stagnant

COAL companies on the Toronto Stock Exchange played familiar roles, as Xinergy returned with a 1.9% gain to close at $C2.73 and Vancouver-based EastCoal bore another tough hit, dropping 7.9% to 35c.
