Yancoal rises on Rio coal acquisition speculation

YANCOAL’s potential interest in new projects including Rio Tinto’s New South Wales coal interests in the Hunter Valley could have contributed to a surge in its share price from 24c to 46c in five days, the company told the Australian Securities Exchange.
