A $100 million, 1000km international submarine cable that will provide 40 terabytes per second of internet capacity between Australia and Asia and open up the Pilbara mining region for low-latency connectivity into Singapore.

Telecommunication company Vocus has signed construction contracts for an international cable landing in Darwin that links the Australia Singapore Cable to the North West Cable System in Port Hedland.
