Banpu seeks to ramp up production by 2020

THE Thai-based owner of Centennial Coal, Banpu, intends to increase existing production from its Australian and Asian coal mines by 50% in 2020.

Banpu CEO Somruedee Chaimongkol told Reuters the company intended to lift production from its present 40 million tonnes to 60Mt.   She reportedly said coal would account for 90% of the Banpu’s revenues...
