Lynas treads lightly

THE United States Department of Defense has contracted Western Australia-based miner Lynas Rare Earth to build a $77 million commercial light rare earths separation plant at the same Texas facility the proposed heavy rare earth separation plant will be housed, if that stalled contract proceeds to the next phase.
