Regulator casts doubt on assessment of pillar failure at Russell Vale

A NEW South Wales Resources Regulator engineering expert has contradicted the state's planning department's advice to the Independent Planning Commission which suggested there is "negligible risk of pillar failure" at Wollongong Coal's proposed Russell Vale expansion project.
