The ore is to be processed by Westgold Resources' subsidiary Avoca Mining at the Higginsville gold plant, which is 35km from the Widgiemooltha project.

It is expected to take 10 days to process the ore parcel and Mincor's first gold pour should occur around the end of the month.

Mine production and ore haulage is coming from the Flinders and Bass South pits.

Preparations for mining at West Oliver South are well advanced and with production expected to start there later this month.

That should ensure Mincor can maintain the 40,000t per month ore production rate.

To date mining costs are trending below budget.

Grade control drilling at both Bass South and West Oliver South has turned up results largely in line with expectations.
