REFURBISHMENT of Panoramic Resources’ Savannah nickel mine process plant in Western Australia’s Kimberley is on track for recommissioning in October.

The pilot hole for the raise was completed ahead of schedule and RUC Cementation has mobilised to site.

Maca Interquip is managing the processing plant refurbishment.

It has installed refurbished pumps; rubber lining repairs in the flotation tanks are continuing; steel repairs in the run-of-mine bin are underway; and the refurbishment of the filter press has begun.

Apron Feeder 2 has been rebuilt and Apron Feeder 1 will be completed once crusher works are complete.

The semi-autogenous grinding mill structural and mechanical inspection has been undertaken and the necessary repairs have been done.

Sand blasting and painting around the plant continues.

Panoramic Resources managing director Peter Harold said the company had signed a four-year offtake agreement with Sino Nickel and secured a $40 million project financing facility with Macquarie Bank.<...
