The project in Western Australia's Goldfields is a joint venture between Orminex and underground mining contractor GBF, which manages the mine under a minerals venture model.
GBF has progressed the decline 1000m to a depth of 100m from the surface, and Orminex told the market the contractor was focused on advancing the decline toward some historically higher grade and largely unmined targets.
On-site at Comet Vale, mining is continuing 24 hours a day with a low profile production fleet operational.
Ore is being stockpiled on the run-of-mine pad for shipment to Burbank's Mill for processing.
