Pioneer closer to pollucite

NEW miner Pioneer Resources has excavated 420,000 bank cubic metres of overburden from the stage 1 pit at the Sinclair caesium mine in Western Australia’s southeast as it digs down toward the mine’s prize caesium-rich pollucite deposit.

The 420,000BCM load, which represents 90% of overburden set to be moved, includes 122,000 tonnes of high-quality potassium feldspar and 11,000t of potassium feldspar with elevated rubidium.
