Gabanintha waste not wasted

AUSTRALIAN Vanadium will build the vanadium processing plant for its namesake project at Gabanintha 18km west of Mullewa in Western Australia’s Mid West instead of on site, with the 922,500 tonnes per annum of iron-rich calcine material to be generated as a waste stream to be exported through the Port of Geraldton.

Based on Australian Vanadium's pre-feasibility study 922,500tpa of iron co-product grading at 54-55% will be produced from the mine's production of 10,115 tonnes of vanadium flake over a 17 year mine life....
