KIMBERLEY Mineral Sands has simplified the process flowsheet at the Thunderbird mineral sands mine in northern Western Australia by removing the proposed ilmenite processing circuit, which has lowered capital costs and improved the margins for 50:50 joint venture partners Yansteel and Sheffield Resources.
