FIRST copper cathode has been produced at the Mount Kelly processing plant after a hectic eight-month development period to turn a bare paddock in Queensland’s Gulf country into the Anthill mine.

Austral Resources has stacked 70,000 tonnes of ore, irrigated and producing copper on the heap leach, with 354,000t mined to date, for 4000t of copper.
