Primero prime for Rio work

NRW Holdings-subsidiary Primero Group has secured a 12-month contract with Rio Tinto at Western Range worth about $54 million.

Under the scope of the work order Primero will head to the site in Western Australia's Pilbara for design, supply, construction and commissioning of the non-process infrastructure facilities.

That includes refuelling, mobile equipment maintenance, primary crusher maintenance and washdown facilities, plus a wastewater treatment plant and water infrastructure.

NRW managing director Jules Pemberton said the contract presented an exciting opportunity.

"We continue to reinforce our long-term relationship with Rio Tinto through the delivery of world-class, non-process infrastructure, design and construction performed in-house by Primero Group," he said.
