Glencore ponders blue hydrogen at Wandoan

GLENCORE has confirmed it will not develop its Wandoan coal project in Queensland but may use some of its resource to produce blue hydrogen and capture some of the carbon dioxide using carbon capture and storage.

Glencore said in its Climate Report that it was studying potentially using up to 4 million tonnes of the Wandoan coal resource as a feedstock to produce blue hydrogen and ammonia.
