The airborne electromagnetic survey of an area between Tennant Creek and Mount Isa found possible mineral deposits of gold, copper, nickel, lead, zinc and manganese, as well as critical minerals such as cobalt, platinum-group elements and rare-earth elements.

Geoscience Australia released the results of the world's largest airborne electromagnetic survey at the Annual Geoscience Exploration Seminar in Alice Springs.
