A GEOLOGICAL research project in New South Wales is seeking to shed light deep under the ground in the central and far west parts of the state to find mineral deposits and water sources.

The Geological Survey of NSW will map and drill regional geologies and structures to define fresh mineral deposits around the towns of Cobar, Broken Hill, Dubbo and Forbes.
