MACA has won a five-year $590 million contract extension at Duketon South.

The contract for Duketon South includes the Rosemont, Garden Well, Erlistoun, Baneygo, Toohey's Well projects and other potential satellite projects in the region at Regis' discretion.

Besides the five-year term, there is the potential for a further five-year extension.

The contract will still consist of drilling, blasting, loading and hauling and replaces the existing contracts for Rosemont and Garden Well. It takes into account the project being split across multiple pits and sites.

According to MACA, the contract win is thanks to its collaborative approach with Regis, using technology to optimise the mine planning across the operations and ensure the most efficient use of both machinery and people.
