Epiroc autonomous drills picked for the Pilbara

MINING equipment maker Epiroc has won a SK130 million (A$20 million) order from Rio Tinto for autonomous drilling systems to be used at the miner's iron ore operations in Western Australia's Pilbara.

Rio Tinto has ordered Pit Viper 271 and SmartROC D65 blast-hole drill rigs but no fleet numbers have been given.
