Canadian Newtrax developed the Proximity Warning and Collision Avoidance system to enhance awareness for mine operators and improve safety in dark and remote areas of underground mines.

The system can detect pedestrians, trucks, and any other obstacles that happen to get in the way of an underground load haul dump bucket, which presents a blind spot that cannot be covered with cameras.

The proximity warning devices will start to be installed on machines and equipment on-site next month.
