Plaudits to Plibersek for defending coal miners

ENVIRONMENTALISTS have resorted to accusing federal environment minister Tanya Plibersek, in the Federal Appeals Court, of condoning the “drug dealer’s defence” by coal mining companies in their bid to thwart her approvals of the Narrabri and Mt Pleasant project extensions.

The mining companies will join the proceedings, effectively defending the minister's decisions.
