Schroeder launches base-ported filters

AIRDRAULIC Birco Group (ABG) are about to test the Australian market with the release of the new Schroeder QF series base-ported filters targeted at pumping stations in longwall mines.

The filters already hold a high profile in the United States with a large chunk of the market, but are yet to see the acceptance of their product in Australia.

The QF series filters have applications in high flow industrial systems, such as longwall mining and lube oil circuits.

The new filters, QLF15, QF15 and QFD15 replace the MQF5, QFD2 and 4QFD2 models.

The single version filter has operating parameters of flow up to 500gpm (1950 L/min) and pressures up to 1500psi (100 bar).

The QLF15 features a L configuration porting in a variety of threads, including NPT, SAE, BSPP and a 4-bolt flange. The QF series is available with in-line porting and includes two duplex models.

Dirt tolerant threads in conjunction with the handle on the cap eliminate the need for tools to change elements. Changing elements from the top minimises oil spillage.

A variety of replacement elements are available, including the coreless QCLQF, which contains no metal and can be easily disposed in order to reduce solid waste volumes.

Integral inlet and outlet test points are standard in the QF series, allowing fluid samples to be taken without shutting the hydraulic circuit down.
