Hexagon diversifies

Software firm targets new customers.

Andrew Snelling

Referencing the economic downturn that continues to take its toll on the industry, the company has announced a campaign to target potential clients in aggregates and industrial minerals, which it said were experiencing a rebound in business in many regions as construction projects made a comeback.

Acknowledging industrial minerals projects often constituted smaller operations, Hexagon said it would offer flexible and affordable licenses for its software packages.

Key to these offerings are its recently launched standalone packages, which offer its blast, manual scheduling and stockpile management and schedule optimiser programs as self-contained products.

“New licenses and standalone solutions mean smaller mines can now integrate the most powerful solutions into their workflow, even if they don’t own a full version of MineSight,” Hexagon said.

“Standalone versions allow you to import data from a non-MineSight system, calculate results, and then export that data to another system.”
