The Ampcontrol Group celebrated 35 years of operation this year, a big step for the Australian grown company who now service mining, heavy industry, oil and gas and power distribution markets throughout the world.

 

The Newcastle-based $70 million company employs 300 people and has sites at Tomago, Warners Bay, Cardiff, Thornton, Sydney and at Moranbah and Mackay in Queensland.

 

There are also sales offices around Australia supported by a network of distributors as well as agent’s offices in China and the USA for expanding offshore markets.

 

Ampcontrol offer extensive service and products to the longwall industry including conveyor monitoring and control, communication, hazardous area equipment and flameproof products to name but a few.

 

The Group also recently expanded with the acquisitions of Austech Instruments and Cable Management Australia (CMA).
