Cambrian’s prime assets are in the international coal industry through Western Canadian Coal and Coal International, with estimated production at 6 million tons per annum with significant upside potential.
Through its 43% holding in Western Canadian Coal, which recently put its newest coal mine into production, Cambrian Mining will participate in the development of North East British Columbia to become a major source of prime coking coal.
Cambrian Mining also expects to benefit from the current robust market for coal via its investment in Coal International, of which it owns 36%.
Coal International has brought West Virginia coal assets into production as well as owning a 55.6% stake in a Welsh coal project.
As of this morning, Cambrian remained steady on the ASX, trading at $3.20 per share.
