ABC News reported the employees - members of the Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union - are upset that the mining company will not negotiate a collective agreement.
Remaining off the job for two days, the workers are refusing to sign AWAs offered by the company after their current contracts expired.
In a statement released by Coal & Allied yesterday the company said the majority of workers at the mine had signed the AWA which offers up to $A150,000 to workers.
