Banpu dips toe in Chinese water

The 18.8% stake represents Banpu’s first foray into the Chinese coal mining industry, Dow Jones reported.

The news agency said Banpu expected average return on equity of 16% per year from its investment.

The venture also gives Banpu access and investment opportunities to coal fire power plant projects in the world’s foremost coal hot spot.
