Coaltrans Korea

Seoul, Korea - September 13-14 2004

Korea has a massive 97% dependence upon overseas sources for its energy needs and coal is set to grow its market share over the next decade. Coaltrans Korea will address the major issues confronting the country’s energy needs. Particular attention will be paid to the shifting pattern of coal supply sources and the current re-assessment by Korean gencos of their buying strategies.

The event, taking place in Seoul, will attract key importers and exporters from around the world who are involved in the Korean market.

Coaltrans World Anthracite and PCI Conference

Hanoi, Vietnam – September 16-17 2004

Coaltrans and Vinacoal have assembled a leading panel of international speakers to address the latest developments in the supply and demand of both Anthracite and PCI, and the growing impact and use that both of these lower-volatile coal products are having on the industrial, power generation and steel-making sectors. This inaugural event, being a world conference, will attract a substantial international audience.

Coaltrans 2004

Barcelona – October 17-20

Now in its 24th year, Coaltrans 2004 will examine the extraordinary changes and upheavals that have been the hallmark of the international coal markets over the past twelve months. Today, the international coal industry is being challenged to meet growing market demands, as end-users are exercised by increasingly unpredictable higher freight costs, while purchase prices have more than doubled over the last year.

Coaltrans has again assembled a faculty of leading world experts, who will analyse and forecast major developments and the outlook for today’s volatile international coal sector, looking forward to 2005 and beyond.

Fundamentals of Coal Trading and Hedging

Singapore – November 15-19 2004

Coal trading protects the defensive hedger and rewards the shrewd speculator. This new intensive five-day residential training course, geared towards the Asian market, will teach energy executives to apply the same fundamental trading components used by both types of market participants.
