New acQuire released

DEVELOPER of the acQuire data management technology, Metech, has released a major upgraded versio...

Staff Reporter

acQuire is a data management system for geologists and mine planning engineers that brings together disparate data sets into one database. Metech said acQuire, version 3.9.0, includes new functionalities, as well as significant enhancements of the existing features.

The Reporting Tools feature provides for the creation and customisation of reports similar to Crystal or Microsoft Access reports. The report is created from within acquire, meaning the user need be familiar with only one software interface. This has also allowed the development team to incorporate additional features, standard with acquire, into this tool, such as a properties dialogue, expression builder engine, and multi-sheet layout. Reports can be formatted and customised to meet a company’s specific reporting objectives.

In addition, acQuire can now provide Quality Assurance Quality Control (QAQC) reporting on data at time of import and on historic data. This commonly used information is displayed in charts, including:

Paired charts, including Scatter, Relative Difference (RD) by Sequence, RD by Mean Grade, RD by Percentile, QQ.

Standards charts include Standards by Sequence, Standards by Mean Grade, Bar Chart, and Box and Whiskers.

Single chart interactive query between chart data point and data grid.

Multi chart display. Charts for different analytes displayed side-by-side.

Comprehensive statistics in single and multi chart display.

Dynamic switching of chart type and analytes/standard to display.

Fully customisable user interface for defining query parameters.

The new Spatial Query on Export provides a sophisticated method for subsetting the drillhole collars or point samples to be exported using a polygon or a solid. For example, the user can select drill holes that fall some percentage within a polygon or solid, or drill holes that intersect a polygon, a surface or a solid. The coordinates of the polygons, surfaces or solids can be defined in the same or in a different coordinate system than drill holes or point samples to be exported.

Network licences will be available and includes support for Citrix and Microsoft Terminal Services environments. Commuter licences (the ability to check out a license for a period of time) is also available with network licensing.
