New Quadrem staff in Brisbane will focus on supporting the electronic procurement programs for the two global miners.
Qudram digitises the steps involved in buying and selling products and services through its e-marketplace - a transaction delivery network that connects more than 14,500 suppliers and 436 buyers.
The company reported its electronic procurement transaction volumes were up 84% to $US1.5 billion in the first quarter of 2005. The Australasia region makes up about 20% of Quadrem’s global business.
"Our mining customers continue to expand their supply chain automation programs, and we expect further expansion of the Quadrem trading partner community over the coming months. This in turn will benefit other companies looking to leverage the efficiencies supply chain automation can deliver," Australian operations head Ian Hollingworth said.
