Martin officials said late Monday the move was designed to improve customer service and component availability across the country.

“We’ve become very familiar with Belterra’s expertise and dedication to customer service through the company’s years as our distributor in western Canada,” Martin chief executive officer Scott Hutter said.

“With this agreement, we’re aligning two firms who share the same vision of delivering complete, customised solutions tailored to fit individual customer requirements.”

Martin Engineering, headquartered in Neponset, has factory-owned business units in Brazil, China, France, Germany, Indonesia, Mexico, South Africa, Turkey, India, the UK, Japan, Russia, Peru and is under exclusive licence with ESS Australia.

Belterra’s turn-key bulk-handling solutions are available from its 16 locations across Canada.
