These various content initiatives will complement the event’s 600 exhibiting suppliers of innovative mining technology, which is designed to improve mine site operations to ensure mining personnel are provided with an optimum onsite experience that is both engaging and informative.

REEDMININGEVENTS director Paul Baker described the mining sector event as being crucial for mining companies and personnel looking to better their mine site operations, while educating attendees about how to address the current challenges within the industry.

“QME 2014 has more than 600 exhibiting suppliers, a dedicated Safety Panel and Women in Mining Day, an Interactive Zone, a TechTalks seminar series and the Community Hub,” he said.

“With all these complimentary participation opportunities, education streams and technological solutions, QME meets the interests of mining personnel at any level and honours its status as Australia’s premier business-to-business mining event for 2014.”

All three days of QME 2014 will feature a series of educational seminars or TechTalks about the latest step-change technology and innovation; these will be delivered by representatives from Atlas Automated Drilling, Enviro Fluid, EPC Projects, iVolve, RedEye Apps, Sandvik Mining and Siemens.

In addition to the informative and educational content initiatives at the event, QME Innovation Partner and sponsor of the QME Interactive Zone, Siemens, will be conducting an electricity generation competition to determine the most productive mining professional, which will be measured by the amount of power generated in five minutes on a stationary electric bike.
