The Collinsville open cut mine on the northern end of the Bowen Basin has resumed production.

An Xstrata Coal spokesperson could not yet confirm whether the Abbot Point terminal had resumed operations.

The Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal is back in operation.

“We recalled the ships, yesterday they were about 12-14 hours away,” a DBCT spokesperson told ILN.

“So we’re just slowly getting back up to speed now; hopefully there will be no more issues.”

DBCT has a queue of around 31 vessels with about 900,000 tonnes of coal stockpiled.

BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance has not yet confirmed whether its neighbouring Hay Point Coal Terminal has reopened.
