Aquila is hoping it may still be offered capacity in the future, should one of the current holders of a Capacity Commitment Deed not complete all the requirements of that deed over the ensuing months.
“The company intends to also apply for capacity in the next stage of the terminal’s development,” it said.
“Securing port access continues to be a priority for the company and other capacity alternatives are being pursued.”
During the June quarter, Aquila was responsible for marketing and selling its attributable tonnage produced at its 50% owned Isaac Plains coal mine.
This was transported to and sold through the Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal using contracts held by Isaac Plains Coal Management.
Coal sales by the company for the quarter were 322,244 tonnes which was 7.5% greater than the previous quarter.
