Jenny Nash has been appointed to the role of director mine safety operations and Steve Orr to the role of manager regulatory audit and investigations unit.
“Jenny is well known to many in NSW mining through her great work in the role of Director Mine Safety Performance, before recently acting as director mine safety operations,” Shearer said.
“She also has a strong background in biosecurity regulation with the department.
“Steve has been acting in the role of manager of the regulatory audit and investigations unit for a period of time and brings a wealth of investigative experience in many different facets of regulation.”
The director mine safety operations is responsible for managing the mine safety inspectorate.
The regulatory audit and investigations unit comprises the mine safety investigation team, as well as the division of resources and energy's general investigation and audit teams.
