The company says the maintenance equipment supplied by WTC Machinery is able to work on some of the largest dozers, excavators and hydraulic shovels of any make.
It features high ram speeds, adjustable ram force and hydraulic track hold-down clamp for safe, rapid track disassembly and reassembly.
The track shop provides pin and brush turns and replacement, vacuum test and re-lube for sealed and lubricated tracks as well as removal and fitment of grouser plates and general repairs.
“We understand the importance of keeping our customers’ machines downtime to a minimum, so when undercarriage needs replacement or repair, our new modern track press facility is able to provide a fast and safe service.,” Komatsu Australia Queensland general manager Dean Gaedtke said.
Komatsu official opened its $55 million Wacol regional headquarters in April 2012, calling the facility a “one-stop shop” for sale, service, assembly and remanufacturing of mining and construction equipment.
Komatsu says the site will assemble up to 70 “ultra-class” mining dump trucks each year, at a location strategically chosen to better service customers in the rapidly expanding Queensland resource sector.
