Wholey will be responsible for sourcing, underwriting and managing energy and infrastructure investments in North America.

Before joining ACEI Wholey spent nine years at Highstar Capital in the role of MD, where he led and managed investments in the midstream energy sector.

Wholey has 14 years of experience in private equity and investment banking, focused in the energy sector.

ACEI invests in global energy infrastructure assets, including power generation facilities, power distribution and transmission networks focused on the power and energy sectors.

The company manages $US19 billion ($A20.6 million) of assets, including on its balance sheet and fee earning assets under management by affiliated managers, with $93 billion of total assets under management (including levered assets).
