Exhibition organisers REEDMININGEVENTS and Resourceful Events believe that because the mining sector is focused on low-cost productivity strategies and improving operational efficiency, the timing of this year’s M&E WA could not be better.

The organisers will deliver a two-day mining productivity conference at the exhibition next month.

Held at the Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre the seminar, Mine Production Optimisation and Operational Efficiencies, will focus on how WA producing mines assess and refine processes to cut costs and increase productivity.

REEDMININGEVENTS director Paul Baker said the conference would offer advice to mining companies and help them improve their operations.

“The exhibition has been designed to showcase the latest innovation and operational solutions from the mining, equipment, technology and service sector,” he said.

“This conference will generate information sharing, debate and discussion on best practices through the presentation of a variety of case studies.

Baker said M&E WA would be a great opportunity for leaders and senior managers to network and share their knowledge.

Speakers presenting keynotes and case studies at the conference will include personnel from Atlas Iron, Anglogold Ashanti, Gold Fields Australia, WA Department of Mines and Petroleum, CRCMining and Saracen Mineral Holdings.

Also represented will be Western Areas, The Association of Mining & Exploration Companies, Barrick Gold, Ramelius Resources, Curtin University and Fortescue Metals Group.

REEDMININGEVENTS has delivered mining and engineering events throughout Australia, including at the Queensland Mining & Engineering (QME) Exhibition and the Asia-Pacific International Mining Exhibition (AIMEX).

Registrations for M&E WA are now open. The conference component will be held on May 6-7 along with the exhibition, which finishes May 8. M&E New South Wales will be held on October 8-10 this year.
