Zululand posted saleable production of 172,549t for the March quarter, up 23.6% on the corresponding 2006 quarter, despite production delays due to a breakdown in the process plant and interruptions to the power supply.

Meanwhile, sales for 2007 are expected to exceed 700,000t compared with 502,703t in the 2006 fiscal year.

Riversdale continues to step up its exploration program on the Benga Licence in the Moatize district of Mozambique, with four diamond drill rigs now operating in the area.

An initial estimate of 53.3 million tonnes has been defined and two distinct areas identified for their openpit potential.
