QME organiser Reed Exhibitions will incorporate the Mining 2020 conference as part of QME 2008, which will be held at the Mackay Showground from July 22 to 24.
Topics covered in the two-day conference include:
- The future of mining;
- Clean coal technology;
- Environmental management;
- Research and development;
- Supply chain management;
- Global mining trends; and
- Trends in mine communication equipment.
“Reed Exhibitions launched the Mining 2020 concept as part of Aimex 2007 in Sydney last year, and it proved a very popular value-add for the exhibition,” said Reed exhibition manager Soren Norgaard.
“As a result of that, we’ve decided to bring the Mining 2020 conference concept to QME 2008.
“Given the importance of the Central Queensland coal industry in meeting energy demand in markets around the world, we expect a very strong showing from overseas delegations both at Mining 2020 and also at QME 2008."
